USU College of Business Raises Money for Opportunities in South America

(LOGAN, Utah) Utah State University College of Business students are rasing money to help develop business opportunities in South America.

USU professor David Hermann said his spring semester MHR 3110 is raising money to donate to possible business opportunities in South America. Hermann said the summer section of the course does a study abroad where they are presented with potential business models from the locals and the students get to decide where to distribute the money.

"The students get an educational opportunity and a chance to refine a business model," Hermann said. "They also get the chance to provide hands on humanitarian service."

USU student Dan Allen said the spring semester students will be setting up booths on campus for anyone interested in donating money. He said they are also setting up a Web site for anyone who wants to donate large sums directly.

"Every little bit helps," Allen said. "If someone can only give a buck that's okay."

Hermann said it is rewarding to give an opportunity to people who otherwise wouldn't have one.

"These people don't have access to capital like we do," Hermann said. "They are people with dreams."

David's last name is spelled wrong (which means the email would be incorrect as well). Put his title on a separate line.

It's now the School of Business, not the College of Business.

Use a dash and not parentheses in your dateline.

The course is not raising money ... but the students are.

Be more specific on when things are happening.
